For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The spirit world

“Beloved, trust not every spirit, but prove the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”

There is confusion in the world of what the spirit world consists. There is confusion about the nature of the spiritual and of spirits. Are they creatures completely different to us? Are they the dead? Can the dead communicate with the living? Is what is spiritual by definition beneficial?

There are many who claim they can communicate with the dead, or have sensitivity to the spirit world.

But what if those claims are misleading? What would be their purpose?

How can we use good judgement to decide what is natural and what is supernatural? How can we further use that judgement to decide what is good and what is evil?

What do the scriptures teach us about the spirit world?

In fact, how did Jesus Christ handle the spirit world?
